Pastor Scott Stevens and his wife Rev. Valerie Stevens were both born and raised in the Lakeshore area. After both having experienced life's problems and struggles, they felt there was a need in the Lakeshore for people to have an intimate relationship with the only one who could help them... that being Jesus Christ. Scott and Valerie were appointed Home Missionaries to the city of Two Rivers in 1993 by the Wisconsin District United Pentecostal Church (UPC) and began a church that is today known as Abundant Life Church. Scott and Valerie are both licensed ministers in the United Pentecostal Church International, Scott is Ordained and Valerie is General Licensed. Both have been actively involved in Nursing Home Ministries, Jail Ministries, Christian Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs, Church Planting and Training & Discipling of Leadership. Through these and many other ministries we have seen lives transformed through the power of God! Scott has been the Pastor of Abundant Life Church since it's inception. He is currently the Wisconsin District UPC Section One Secretary/Treasurer, Sectional Foreign Missions Director, Two Rivers Rotary Member and Bible College Instructor for Purpose Institute. Scott also has a great affection for United States military history and considers himself an amateur military historian and collector. He also enjoys the outdoors and hunting. Valerie, has assisted her husband in all area's of ministry and has been a speaker at various Ladies Rallies, is currently the Youth Leader in the church and is the Chaplain at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and oversees the Pastoral Care Department at the hospital. When time allows, Valerie enjoys photography, writing, getting outdoors and spending quiet time alone with her family. Scott and Valerie have two adult children, Rick and Travis. Rick is a Combat Medic Specialist in the United States Army Reserves and works as a Paramedic in Houston, TX. He is planning to marry in 2008. Travis works in Security at the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant. Travis and His wife Samantha are both active in ministry at the church.
