Question:How can I know God's will? Answer: God wants you to know his will (Colossians 1:9-10)The will of God can be divided into two headings: The "General" will of God and the "Personal" will of God. God's general will is this: That you have surrendered your life to God and have separated yourself from sin. If you have not obeyed the basic salvational message found in Acts 2:38 then you need go no further. His general will must come first in your life. Then you can seek the Lord's personal will for your life. Years ago, the late Pastor David Gray, gave an excellent guide to knowing a proper sense of direction for your life. It's called the "Sense Test"
If these things all line up and you have prayed then, you are very possibly in the will of God. Remember this, "He that doeth the will of God abideth forever!"(1 John 2:17) |
