Abundant Life Church
History
Abundant Life Church (ALC) was started in the living room of Pastors Scott and Valerie Stevens in 1993 with 6 people who wanted to see a Bible based church started in our county.
First Easter Service 1993 at the Stevens home
The Church grew to about 16 members in the first year and soon relocated to a store front on Washington Street in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. This growth continued for two years at that location which prompted the church to look again for a larger facility.
Store front location on Washington Street
We located and then purchased the Two Rivers Community Credit Union building on the corner of Adams and 16th St. We had planned for that facility to meet our needs for about five years. However The Lord had other plans and we outgrew that facility in three years.
Church located on the corner of Adams and 16th Street
This led us to purchase the property that we are currently located on at 1969 Roosevelt Avenue. In October of 2000 we broke ground for our new facility which includes a sanctuary that seats 180 people, three Sunday School class rooms, offices, kitchen and fellowship area.
Ground Breaking October 2000
We had our first service in the new building on Easter Sunday 2001. There are also plans for an expansion to include four more classrooms, an adult education/training center, larger
offices and a 400 seat sanctuary.
Current ALC facility located at: 1969 Roosevelt Avenue
ALC currently has 140 members made up of nearly 70 families. These families are from all types of religious backgrounds including Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Evangelical and some who are brand new to attending church. All off these people, our church family, share a common goal; to make heaven their eternal home and to follow God's Holy Word until then. We encourage each other to live happy and productive lives as Christians and to worship openly and lovingly the Lord Jesus Christ.
Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International. You can check out their web site at: www.upci.org. If you have any questions about ALC please feel free to call Pastor Stevens(Scott) or his wife and Assistant Pastor(Valerie) at (920) 793-1576.
